 You may not be aware that there is a very special club for those players who have not bothered the scorers in a match. In fact, a "golden duck" has been recorded against their names. We like to commemorate each occasion by awarding a very sweet "Don't Blink Club" badge, which should be attached to either St Ives CC cap/hat (or shirt collar if headgear isn't worn). Regular spot checks are carried out to ensure that these tokens are not lost!!! This is an exclusive, but ever growing club, and there are some lucky players who have accumulated sufficient ducks to keep each other company since the club was founded in August 1999. Thanks to President Grumpy, Vice-Pres. Maureen O'Connell and Hon. Member David James for this noble gesture of goodwill to all who 'play' for St Ives. And who are those wonderful specimens gaining membership to the club in 2009?......
